When Jeb Bush goes down, he’s taking the rest of the GOP field with him (except Donald Trump).That, at least, is what will happen if Mike Murphy, the head of Bush’s super PAC Right to Rise, gets his way.
Right to Rise has $75 million in the bank, and Murphy’s not going to let it go to waste, according to Politico:
According to another source close to Right to Rise, Murphy has been floating another tactical shift to potential supporters, suggesting that he might spend the bulk of the $75 million to carpet bomb Rubio, Cruz, Carson, Christie—everyone but Trump. The thinking: making the race into a binary choice between Bush and Trump might be the only way a majority of primary voters go with Bush.

I wouldn’t put it past the GOPe to withhold its support during the general should either of these two win, though.

Meanwhile Fox had Jeb on for a long time yesterday, and he steadfastly refuses to say he would support Trump as the nominee. When asked he continues to repeat that Trump won’t be, leaving the door open to back Hillary when Trump wins the nomination.
Let’s see, Jeb at 3% in the latest poll, and he wants to add Carson 14%, Rubio 12, Cruz 16 person (not much chance of that), and everyone else but Trump (less than 5). Yep, he gets all the votes from Rand Paul to Ted Cruz, and he still can’t quite make 50%.
At this point, I’m thinking Yeb has confiscated his daughter’s drug stash.
He really thinks he has the power to do all this? I think he’s smoking something maybe is ‘illegal’ or something.....
Just saying....
Carpet bombing Rubio and Christie might hurt them. But what is there to attack Cruz on other than his positions, which are already well known.
