I hate to say it but it wasn’t this bad with Jimmy Carter. Obama’s little toadies in his “media” are pimping for him to be added to Mt. Rushmore. Hopefully they’ll remove the others so they won’t be disgraced by the presence of a spoiled little, snot-nosed brat.
I think probably a big catalyst towards dividing people is also the massive increase in social media usage, supposedly a ten fold increase between 2005-2015 according to Pew research. Knowing what so many think or are at least willing to say they think about everything from their dumb breakfast to current events might not actually be too healthy for society. It certainly lets wackjobs find other wackjobs to discuss wackjobbery more easily than in the past.
