I agree with you in spirit. But, 2 things.
I. Weeks ago, Cruz wanted to attach the Iran Agreement as leverage against the gov’t shutdown. Obama vetoes. But,the Dems would have been forced to vote for a nuclear Iran, a much more damaging vote.
2. Here, at least, the GOP creates a Presidential campaign issue— vote GOP, and then we will have a President who will sign the defunding of PP and Obamacare. Though if a Rino wins, I doubt McConnell follows through.
Typical smoke and mirrors. Obama will veto, the masses won’t care, and that’s the end that. They could have ended 0care this whole time.

How right your are. Congress should get in front of TV cameras and declare that we have no president. A terrorist attack happened yesterday. Has anyone heard from him? Hollande was at the site the next day, was in front of cameras hours later, was dropping bombs the next week, and our president is still talking about gun control. Well, Barky, pipe bombs are illegal, your friends had plenty of those.
This is a show vote—boob bait for the Bubbas. If they wanted to have a chance they could have put the defunding of Obamacare and Planned parenthood in their gigantic 2 year omnibus bill. Of course Hussein would veto and shudder the Republicans would get the blame for shutting down 15% of the government. The Wall Street Journal, K-street, and other cronies do not want that but they did allow this kabuki theater. Sure Ted Cruz voted for it—what was he supposed to do vote against it? But he knows it’s a farce.
They have had two to four years to do this and never did. Now that Trump and the Public are breathing down their necks and the premiums are shooting up fast we have our little symbolic gesture. Too Little, Too Late GOPe.
Ditto. “Leader Effect”
Mea culpa. I overlooked how bills are loaded with PC garbage.
In fact, consider the unconstitutional junk in bills. President Madison would probably veto most of todays bills.
Taking a page from Thoreau?
Bingo. You can always tell when election time is upon us; the lights come on in the 3-ring circus known as D.C.
Nor have they (GOP) dared to bring up opening the market(s) across State lines, de-regulating, de-bundling, giving the taxpayers the same benefits biz have in ‘providing’ insurance or any other number of ways to get govt OUT of the way.
“Nero”
Nice to see someone else sees the similarities.
Hehee. Nice graphics. :-)
Replace 0bamacare with freedom from government!
Nah...Corporate America is breathing down Obamas neck....he doesn’t like the feel of hot air.
Thank you.

Thinking ahead to 0bamacares ultimate destruction under President Cruz... I fear what crap sammich that Congress comes up with to replace 0bamacare.
It’s about making healthcare have value. Insurance is THE PROBLEM. Force a free market and competitio for the healthcare service... not the insurance. Make healthcare PROVIDERS compete with each other for your $$$. You will find that all the sudden it’s not that expensive to see the doctor, because you are chosing the level of care you would like to pay for.
“Republicans blame the bill for surging health care costs and insurers abandoning some markets. “
To what extent do obscene costs of some medications make to the overall increase in medical costs? Why shouldn’t the government be able to negotiate for better prices. The VA does it and my husband benefited from reasonable prices for his Alzheimers medication for 5 years.
This is doubtless true.
But it is very good, I think, that the GOP should force Democrats to go on record as supporting ObamaCare...
