December 3, 2015: GOP Presidential candidate and front-runner Donald Trump was one of several Presidential candidates to speak at the 2015 Republican Jewish Coalition's Presidential Forum.
It got a little awkward there for a minute when he started taking questions and someone asked about his feelings on Jerusalem being the undisputed capital of Israel. He didn't exactly answer the quarstion...

Nope.
We are disappointed with Mr Trump. Equivocation on such clear- cut moral issues is beneath the man - and raises serious concerns, right or wrong, about his commitments ( as we have seen right here in this thread). It looks like we have better candidates
When I recall how FReepers unanimously (yes, including me) rejected Rudy Giuliani because he was too liberal, the idea that Trump can now do know wrong (despite arguably being even less conservative than Rudy) absolutely astounds me.
Why it isn't obvious to everyone here that we simply have no alternative to Ted Cruz astounds me. American conservatives seem to be becoming more like the relativistic ethnolators of the European right.
So you don't think Jerusalem is the capital of Israel?
Donald Trump just lost the nomination.
I agree, and I'm very sad. Because up until now, while I've backed Cruz consistently, I wouldn't have panicked at a Trump ticket. Now I would.
In other words, he doesn't believe that Jerusalem was given to the Jews permanently by G-d A-mighty.
Apparently you don't believe this either.
So you are saying that the belief that A-mighty G-d gave Jerusalem permanently to the Jewish People is a left wing, "politically correct" position? Good to know.
but what he did say was that it was up to Israel and Palestine to work out a solution.
Israel does not have the right to give away any part of Jerusalem and the State will be judged and punished if it does so.
It was plain and clear ... he was not trying to insert himself into either side of the resolution. Probably because he understands it is not his position to make those assumptions.
Because the claims of both sides are "equally valid," I suppose?
Trump will be talking to both sides, it's Israel's decision whether or not they want to do something...that whole land belongs to Israel, in case you haven't done your history...Israel doesn't have to give up any more of what they have, and they don't have to put up with the Palestine people either...they are as bad if not worse than the Muslims we have here in America...
Israel is Jewish, it's their land, it was given to them by God....the Palestines can go jump in the Dead Sea if they want to...
It's not different than the Muslims coming here to America and trying to shove us out of OUR COUNTRY....if you don't like the Country you came from, then don't come to OUR Country thinking we are going to do anything for you, your going to live under OUR laws....
That is what Trump was saying!!!
Lardy Bee some people's kids!!!
America Constitutionalist is full of bull and he knows he.
He is just another anti-Trump freeper who will probably be banned before this is all over.
He is actually just an American Constipationalist.
Don't strain AC...that just makes it worse.
Hemorrhoids to follow.
I live in NYC...and loved my Jewish friends.
BTW, if you are on the West Side around noon, go to Fine and Shapiro's Deli. Best deli in Manhattan.
My favorite was a pastrami on rye with Russian dressing.
They pile it high...and the waitress always called me "honey."
He lied. He never even considered it.
I think you're both full of crap.
Is Jerusalem the capitol of Jerusalem? .... No. Do I want Jerusalem to be the capitol of Israel? .... Unconditionally yes with the only proviso being that I am an American Citizen first.
I even support Israel ousting the grand Mufti and controlling access to the Al Aqsa Mosque and the excavations that are secretly going on by the Grand Mufti in destroying all Jewish relics and artifacts left within.
Is it Trump's, even as POTUS, to make Jerusalem the capitol of Israel? .... No.
Will he support it? Yes, he said that in as many times as he can without spelling it out for the slow people.
He didn't blow smoke up their ass.
A+ for Trump and his speech to the Jewish organization he spoke to.
Very good speech. I assume many don’t understand what Trump’s Israel strategy is, but he made it perfectly clear to me.
What a breath of fresh air not to be pandered to and immediately ask for money afterwards.
Jewish voters are about 3% of the general population, and about 80% of those 3% vote for Democrats. That's not going to make or break a nomination.
Furthermore, I doubt that most Jews are quite as apoplectic about Trump's statements as you seem to be, they seemed fairly reasonable to me.
I still respectfully disagree with your assessment of Trump's speech. He had an excellent opportunity to hit it out of the park. He chose not to.
Before your identity as an American citizen, you are above everything else a child and subject of HaShem, the One True G-d, and your (and everyone else's) first loyalty is to Him and Him alone.
I understand their frustration.
But, to jump onto Trump threads and post flat out lies (and, they are lies...until we see links to the actual “Trump supporters who recently said they’d vote for Hillary, if Trump isn’t on the ballot” claim), is unreal, uncalled for and a new low.
I haven’t heard one Trump supporter say that. In fact, I think most of us have said Cruz is our second choice.
They’re coming up with some real whoppers, lately :(
You HATE Trump, for no rational reason/s.
None of his supporters are going to vote for Hillary; not a one of us ! But you and your ilk, keep this crap up and we won't EVER vote for Cruz either!
Every politician says “move the embassy!”
No one falls for it anymore. It’s a lie.
You didn’t watch the speech, did you?
