To End The FReepathon
I finally got up out of bed after the long evening at the Manassas Trump Rally.
Standing in line from 4:30 until the event and continuing to stand until the 9:30 closing of the speech. Then the long ride back home. VA not FL
He signed my hat and then seeing my T Shirt had the Secret Service move people so he could sign the shirt too. It started as a Halloween costume to annoy fellow Republicans who are still fighting over Marco and Jeb and has become fun to wear other times too.
Religious tone at the beginning, “old(name?)” Pro-basketball Pastor started the event and then he brought a large group of black Pastors forward who had endorsed him. The California terror attack was discussed and long moment of silence with a rousing AMEN from the huge crowd.
Most of the speech seemed to be about how STUPID our government was acting, led by our stupid leader. Hillary was put down as not being healthy enough to do the job, and others were so low in the polls...” Why are they still in the race?” was repeated often. Not many promises lightly thrown out, but definite plan to build the wall and stop Obamacare by replacing it. Veteran's issues were covered by the promise to find ways to serve what had been promised! Not hurting seniors, who had been paying for and planning on, benefits was also assured. Plans to return educational standards to the states and districts pleased me greatly!
The crowd was very much male and blue collar dominated. Women in fancy clothing and hairdo’s were not in evidence and there were few men in suits except those on his staff and security.
The men stepped back on several occasions and let shorter women stand in front of them. It was a nice and respectful crowd. The demonstrators at the door were removed at the booing of the crowd and loud chanting TRUMP, TRUMP, TRUMP. The show went on to it's conclusion without another incident.
I recognized the crowd's expression of real and deep anger at the current president and leadership. It seemed to bring out loud boos, groans, and then loud cheering for plans of ACTION to make possible better things to come.
