Then we were COMMANDED to tolerate and welcome those who were different.
Next, we are ORDERED to CELEBRATE the differences.
Yet, a liberal will never look at every empire the world has ever known, and see what made the empire so strong. The Roman, Chinese, Greek and British Empires sought to make everyone like themselves. The known world became “ROME”, or “Chinese”, or “GREEK” or “BRITISH”. The conquered countries learned the language of their conquerors, they adopted the culture, and traditions, they were educated, and learned sciences, mathematics, navigation, and trade was established. In every single case, the conquered country emerged stronger, smarter, more industrialized, more advanced in every way from their servitude than they were before.
And when you look at countries that remained stagnated, countries such as India where you have a caste system, and over 1,000 different dialects; for generations they failed to advance due to their diversity.
