2nd Amendment. Part of the Bill of Rights only to be 2nd to Freedom of Speech.

The 2nd guarantees it.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Take note of the spelling and the context. Those commas mean everything.

What it tells you is that the new government being adopted has a right to form an Army.

What this amendment clearly points out is that same government cannot remove the peoples right to defend themselves against it.
