We have heard a lot of talk about how gun and ammo sales are on the rise but the numbers from Black Friday kicked things up to another level.
From USA Today:
More Americans had their backgrounds checked purchasing guns on Black Friday than any day in the on record, according to data released by the FBI this week.
The National Instant Criminal Background Check System processed 185,345 requests on November 27, one of the largest retail sales days in the country.
“This was an approximate 5% increase over the 175,754 received on Black Friday 2014,†wrote Stephen Fischer, the FBI’s chief of multimedia productions. “The previous high for receipts were the 177,170 received on 12/21/2012.â€
Pretty unbelievable.
The primary reason we are seeing such a dramatic rise in gun purchases is because Americans have noticed how left leaning politicians use the gun control issue to exploit national tragedies. Many on the left feel that the only way to stop violent crime is to make it more difficult for people to get guns. Of course, what they don’t realize is that while they are doing that they are inadvertently making it harder for law abiding citizens to protect themselves from bad guys who rarely follow gun laws.
That’s a scary feeling. Many people have decided to stock up while they can due to fears that strict gun control laws could be coming down the pike during Obama’s last year as president.
In fact, he has already promised that will be on the top of his list.
Pretty simple. Threaten to take away guns and people will buy more guns.
Didn’t buy one on Friday but put hundreds of rounds down range with a friend while the ladies were out shopping. Great day.

It’s almost like gun makers and sellers had a hand in Obama’s election. Hussein sure sells a lot of guns.

These numbers do not include on-line Black Friday sales, where the firearm may have been purchased then, but the FFL NICS check won’t occur until this week or so.
I’m not a great shot with my 9 mm, but I was getting them all on a 6 inch circle target. I can non-stop walk a tin can with my 22 target pistol. I might not drop an intruder with it, but I can make him wish he’d picked a different house.
Good to have the guns and ammo, but practice makes perfect. Good to replace the rounds, anyway.
And they’ll all just turn them in if asked... Yup, Dems think that.
Shopping is Expensive but Range Time is Priceless
I like shooting as much as I like fishing, and I love fishing.
The vast majority to patriots, no doubt.
One thing they have in common, after you’re done you have some cleaning to do.
No kidding. I'd probably lose my 2nd amendment rights for that. How conveeeeenient for the left.
