Well Cruz needs to actually get past Rubio and Carson, whom he is firmly planted behind in polls (seriously stop pretending that a good showing in Iowa means anything), before making such stupid statements.

But it could just be a rally boast for the crowd.

I liken presidential races to horseraces. It’s hard to tell who is gonna win until the main stretch. Watch one of secretariat’s wins some time. Very educational.

According to Real Clear Politics average, Cruz is in third place, 6 points ahead of Rubio and less than 2 points behind Carson. Expect Carson’s numbers to come down. He is still benefiting from earlier polls when he was higher.

I've been getting a little less certain about Cruz, for reasons that seemed small but are piling up. And now he's channeling Kasich with the "in crowd" line that Trump won't be the nominee? Who has Cruz been listening to lately?

I'm all in for Trump. I don't understand what Cruz's hurry is. Let him get some good results in the US Senate for four years, Trump will need all the help he can get there, then Cruz can run for President.
