The confidence to engage rather than avoid.
This video has been around since July. I had heard about it, but never watched it. I’m not sure how, but I stumbled upon it last night.
In the video, Ted Cruz’s rally opposing the Iran nuclear deal was interrupted by Medea Benjamin and other Code Pink protesters.
Cruz could have reacted many ways. He could have shouted down the people shouting him down. He could have insulted them. He could have had security push them away.
But instead, he engaged. That’s what was important to me. The confidence to engage rather than avoid. Standing face to face with hostile protesters was very Andrew Breitbart-like.
When you watch this video, forget who won the argument, but focus on Cruz’s willingness to debate the leader of Code Pink, someone used to grabbing the spotlight. Cruz reduced Benjamin to a sideshow rather than center stage. It’s almost as if she was not there.
For me, watching it was a Ted Cruz moment.
Ted Cruz Takes Down Code Pink Hecklers on Iran (Video)
Holy Crap
Noticed you left out the part about being beholden to those bearing $$ (amnesty peddlers)? Trump is the only one talking about illegal immigration, building a wall, and deportation...because he owes no one, anything.
Ted Cruz is what we need in the White House to straighten out Obama’s mess.
.
Keep on lying.
The majority here see the truth through the smoke you liars generate.
Lying about what, that Cruz will take campaign contributions from GOPe supporters seeking to curry favor and decisions they seek with regard to amnesty? You really think the campaign will turn the money down, or are you thinking he won’t do what they’re asking him to do by accepting their donations? Like it or not, there’s only one candidate that is running that won’t be taking donations from those seeking favors or action on their behalf, and that, along with his other positions is resonating loudly with the electorate.
It’s almost comical to see all the Trump supporters showing the same wide-eyed, cult of personality following similar to the Obamites. He has no conservative record, only words.
.
LOL!
.
When people act like Trump won’t be “beholden” to anyone because he is soooo rich and above that I would like them to look into Trumps own words about why he gave money to Democrats and specifically Clintons. As he said, “it was just business.” So, why would you think he can’t be “bought”? He has admitted to practicing that very tactic.
I wonder how much Trump donated to the Clinton’s in order to have his sister appointed as a Judge? http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/not-many-people-know-this-about-trumps-sister-but-they-should/
Well, you’re voting for Sarah Palin per you tag anyway...so, you make no sense coming in to bash Cruz.
What is your motive man? let it be known, help us ‘Cruzbots’ understand.
I think people are even being paid to bash Cruz on the internets by speading falshood about his motives for the nation. Just sayin....
I don’t blame the Trump supporters for liking what Trump says, I just simply trust Cruz more. They, (Trump supporters) really don’t seem to want to consider Trumps ‘flexibility’ in his issue positions over the years. It really comes down to the issue of trust for me.
Look it up. Levin referred to it when it happened. So did Rush. So did many. There was only one senator who voted against it. It wasn’t Cruz.
As I posted to the other fellow- Look It Up. Only one senator voted against it. All others voted for it. Cruz was among that group of all others. He voted for the Iran Deal. He voted for the Trade giveaway of control of our immigration policies to foreign governments and foreign corporations. He voted for expansion of H1B. I still think he is the most principled fellow running and knows the Constitution best of all of them. He has shown bouts of atrocious judgment, though, and that is why I do not want him to be President. He is, however, necessary as vice president to Trump to keep the man who can actually do what has to be done grounded in the Constitution.
His clarity is obfuscated by the fact- that’s FACT, man, an actual real world DEED- that he did vote for giving Baraq Husein plenipotentiary powers to negotiate any deal he wanted with Iran. When called on it by the Conservative commentators he firmly and forthrightly weaseled and said he had to vote for it because it would pass even if he didn’t. That is the McConnell/Boehner mustelism.
Well, I guess we won’t know until Trump is President, right? However, I’d rather be the one running going on record as not having to take money and being able to say and do whatever I think is the right course, rather than being constrained by the $$ needed just to get to that point and then having to toe the line.
As far as Trump’s sister and donations to the Clintons, that’s the thing about Trump....it’s all old news and already been vetted hundreds of times...he’s an open book. WYSIWYG.
me too... GO TED GO!!!
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
