DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT HERE!
There are 3 possible answers on the federal form (actually I don’t know, but I’m guessing).
1) No, I do not own any guns
2) Yes, but I keep them safely locked up
3) None of your DAMN BUSINESS
Guess who gets the highest level of attention by the authorities.
4) Lost in a boating accident
When I lived in CA I was asked about gun ownership both times I went to a new doctor. I just said that question was irrelevant to my health and 1 wasn’t going to answer. This was several years ago.
My doc has never asked. If she does, I will simply lie. "Why no, I do not." None of her business, neither personally nor professionally and it cannot possibly have any bearing on my health. Well, other than reducing my stress level (love a good day on the range), and possibly saving my life if ever needed.
Or
What does that question have to do with my health?
Or
Are you a doctor or an activist?
ER tips to make life bearable.
1) do not sign anything.
2) do not allow “medical professionals” to take your clothing and/or shoes.
3) answer no questions that are not directly related to the medical emergency you are facing.
There is another answer I used.. N/A
I walked into an Urgent Care clinic and had to fill out 8 to 10 forms in the waiting room. Most forms asked about me, my health, my medical history and insurance. All of those forms were reliant so I answered them.
There was another 2 page form that asked non medical questions. On this form it asked if I own guns or kept guns in my house. Other questions asked if I had a swimming pool, and other questions about my house. All of the questions on this form was answered with a "N/A", all of them.
Always answer no.
