A shotgun was used in the Paris attacks in the concert hall. Buckshot against massed bodies, pretty effective.
800 assault shotguns (collapsing stocks, pistol grips, extended mag, sights) = 100 Paris attacks, at 8 assaulters per.

Oh I know how effective shotguns can be. They just aren’t generally accepted as “weapons of war”. My remark was aimed at the propaganda aspect of the photo.

It will be news to SEALs that shotguns are not a weapon of war. At close quarters, one buckshot shell is like a burst from a subgun.
As far as propaganda aspects, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. I'm not a semantical purist, I punch where it hurts the best way I can.

“My remark was aimed at the propaganda aspect of the photo.”
Muslims are smuggling firearms for their “refugees” that are the Trojan Horse to wage war.
Fact. Not Propaganda.

If we had known if it was a Russian plane maybe we would have warned it differently.A variation of the "Pelosi Dictum": We had to pass it to see what was in it.

I wonder what this will do to the "suitcase trade" between Turkey and Russia. It was a booming business when I was in Turkey. People would take a suitcase of Turkish goods (usually leather goods) into Russia, sell them, and return with a suitcase of hand tools or other manufactured goods. I used to see a lot of Russian-made stuff in Turkish flea markets. Including bootleg versions of Windows.
