"And I have a message to the jackasses trying to use this line of reasoning against Cruz: Don’t try to outsmart someone who’s significantly smarter than you are–or do, and see what happens."

He is by far the best available presidential candidate this cycle.

It will be sad if he does not get the nomination.

Throughout the piece, Romano uses words like "scheming," "plotting," "calculating," and "opportunism" regularly

To libtards, a smart conservative is pretentious, arrogant, and pompous. They can't stand smart opposition.

Absolutely no doubt the left will lie, cheat and steal to destroy Cruz if he becomes a threat to them. There’s a reason why they haven’t yet. They will wait, and at the opportune moment they will pretend to suddenly discover that Cruz was born in Canada. Then it will be 24/7 hype with “in an astounding revelation that could destroy Cruz’ hopes for the presidency....”

I do not believe the left will attack Cruz among the rank and file voters the way the author describes. Subtle messages only work on people who are into subtlety and are willing to take the time to read all the way through articles. The method of laying out a long description to get people to think of Cruz as calculating and manipulative will not work because only people who follow the primaries would take the time to read them. Even then, the vast majority of those people will trust their own impressions of the man over what they read by left or RINO-leaning journalists.

When it comes to painting Cruz, the Dems will try to brand him as either stupid or crazy (like they did to Sarah Palin) to keep the low info voters from listening to him. While I have deep respect for Mrs Palin, her major weakness was that her folksy manner of speaking played into the narrative created by the Dems and Tina Fey in 2008 and has stuck with many voters.

But Cruz is much more like Reagan. The Dems understand that when given the opportunity to define himself and speak directly to the voters, Cruz makes a strong impression which destroys the narrative they wish to create. Voters like the reasoned tact Cruz takes, his manner of speaking, and, most importantly, they like him. These direct personal impressions override the smears and negative images created by the Dems.

During one of the recent debates, Ted Cruz attacked the media for its bias, inanities, and arrogance, and he was widely cheered for it.

In fact, that’s when Ted’s numbers started rising toward his current second-place position in the polls.

If the featherheads in the liberal media are foolish enough to go after Ted Cruz again, why shouldn’t he come out ahead again, and again? The media are the Bad Guys to Republicans, and pointing out their evil ways will allow Ted to present himself as a Good Guy. So bring it on, MSM.

THEY’RE AFRAID OF HIM: That’s one more very good reason to VOTE FOR CRUZ!

If you think Goldwater, Reagan and Bork got pelted by the left wing, you’ve seen nothing. Wait until Cruz lands the nomination.

The term will no longer be called “Borked”. It will be called a “Cruzifiction” from now on.

Actually, Romano exposes his total lack of real knowledge about Cruz .. Romano evidently doesn’t know (or refuses to acknowledge) Cruz’s ability to remember every spoken word.

This ability is similar to a photographic memory, but Cruz remembers the words spoken. Therefore, what he did at the CNBC debate was nothing unusual or unexpected for Cruz. This was his usual ability to use the spoken words of others to his advantage.

Too bad Romano didn’t know about this skill .. because it really is a very unusual skill .. and is not something Cruz uses to jerk people around.

If anybody here communicates with Romano on a regular basis, they should inform the JERK that he’s really ignorant; exposing why he really doesn’t like Cruz.

That argument in RINO quarters against Cruz should be expected. This is why conservatives in certain states should be focusing on Senate candidates who do believe in controlling the purse and getting the government out of our bedrooms, kitchens, backyards, churches, and schools.
\
Even if it meant resorting to defunding and government shutdowns.

And by campaigning using those issues and asking why the go along, get alongs bipartisans refused to use these tactics which should have been applied with this bunch of socialistas bent on destroying this country.

So the media and the GOPe will try to smear Cruz as a schemer?

Well, if Cruz is indeed a schemer, the media and the GOPe better beware, because Cruz probably has a scheme already to defuse the downside of this meme.
