Mario Lopez, the host of the syndicated celebrity and entertainment show “Extra,” sat down with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) at Cruz’s presidential campaign headquarters in Houston on Wednesday.
Cruz, who is currently vying for the GOP nomination in 2016, tweeted a picture of the duo sitting down for an interview.

But immediately following the sit down in Houston, Lopez tweeted a photo of himself holding the infamous poster crafted by conservative street artist Sabo.

The poster, which features Cruz clad with a cigarette and a plethora of patriotic tattoos, has become a popular theme on the Texas Republican’s campaign trail.

While the former “Saved by the Bell” star did not officially endorse Cruz’s White House bid, Cruz is riding high after garnering an endorsement from actor James Woods, as well as surging in the GOP polls, particularly in Iowa.
Chuck Woolery sounds like he’s on Cruz Control.

By “everyone went nuts”, I hope it wasn’t the usual lib ho-wood negative reaction against conservatives getting good media coverage, and instead, I hope it was a positive reaction.
By interviewing with Mario Lopez, Ted found a great way to reach pop culture people.
This is sabo’s work? His work for Cruz is pure badassery, whearas this piece is potent satire.
It would be awesome if Mario Lopez brought in his own copy of the Sabo poster. But just the fact that Mario posed with it is good publicity for Ted and Sabo. I know many women who adore Mario.
I consider that a microaggression against my eyes!
I was just looking at some Tombstone movie posters and thinking about photoshopping them with Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Louie Gohmert etc.
Cruz is my number 1 choice.
I can't wait for him to get the chance to battle BOTH the Dems and the GOP Rhinos after he is in office.

I actually laughed out-loud for the first time in months.I'm laughing heartily here too! The Bernie Sanders poster by Sabo is titled "IRS -EAGLE" and in the description he writes "It seems even Bernie Sanders has an eagle on his chest."
I hope some FReeper that reads Russian can translate the text of Bernie's necklace tattoo for us.
I think that would be very cool.
