Interesting. Congressional authorization? Nope. War Powers act notification to Congress to start that clock, nope. Invitation from Syria? Nope. UN authorization? Nope.
All presidents before this did all of those. More proof of a dictatorship in DC.

Answer at bottom of the article. Syria didn’t invite them and it is considered an act of aggression. We can’t just waltz in there and play both ends against the middle.
