Interesting. Congressional authorization? Nope. War Powers act notification to Congress to start that clock, nope. Invitation from Syria? Nope. UN authorization? Nope.
All presidents before this did all of those. More proof of a dictatorship in DC.

I'm afraid it might all be for show. He seems obsessed (someone behind the curtain) with getting rid of Assad. He's never indicated otherwise.
The tide has shifted, and American public opinion agree it's better to keep Assad and go after ISIS only.
I just don't trust him that he won't still covertly continue with trying to get rid of Assad, think he's been fooling Americans lately, so many opposing forces in Syria, hard to tell which is which.
And how will Americans know for certain what we are really going to do there? We don't. Maybe even the troops don't or will know and can't tell.

Most Special Forces Groups have 3 or 4 Battalions, theres a heluva lot more than 50 soldiers in 4 Battalions. Now I suppose Zippy will ask what 50 Battalions are doing there from Italy.
