No political transition in Syria until terrorists are destroyed – Assad

Syrian President Bashar Assad has said that the internationally agreed upon 18-month timeline for political transition in Syria may only begin after Islamic State and other terror groups are defeated in the country.

“There will be no point in deciding any timetable, because you cannot achieve anything politically while you have the terrorists taking over many areas in Syria, and they’re going to be – they are already – the main obstacle of any real political advancement,” Assad said in an interview with Italy’s RAI UNO channel.

After the terrorists are defeated, the political transition in Syria won’t require a lot of time, the president stressed.

“One year and a half (18 months) to two years is enough for any transition. It’s enough. I mean if you want to talk about first of all having a new constitution, then a referendum, then parliamentarian elections, then any kind of other procedure, whether presidential or any other thing, doesn’t matter,” he explained.

He’s right. Is he a good guy? no. He is aligned with Iran and I’m sure had a fair number of Syrians killed. Some fanatics. Some not.

ISIS makes Saddam, Qaddafi and Assad among others, look like little schoolyard bullies..

ISIS is insane. completely. And they are trying to build a caliphate. Without an air force thank God.

ithout an air force thank God.

If ISIS doesn’t have an air force, why do McCain and Hillary and some of the GOP candidates want a “no fly zone” in Syria? Wouldn’t that HELP defend ISIS against forces that DO have air forces - like Assad and Putin?

Hmmm. Do Hilary and the GOPe want to fight ISIS - or Assad?

Assad. If McCain had become president, we’d have gone in there and killed him, along with probably close to 40,000 of our children’s lives lost in the process.

Assad, of course.

The obama backed rebellion in Syria has led to disaster and made ISIS huge.

Who cares about Assad. He’s a two bit dictator.

Tell Turkey cut the nonsense now!! letting ISIS roam freely.

STOP sending munitions to Saudi Arabia. We should be destroying shipments to them. Not giving them shipments.

McCain and Hillary want the no-fly zone so as to give safe haven to the fighters who want to get rid of Assad - a zone that will be free from bombing by the air forces of Assad and Russia.

Setting up a no-fly zone as a means of “fighting ISIS” (which doesn’t have an Air Force) is an absurdity which our slave media so far hasn’t seen fit to question.
