And yet we can’t just sit by.
Bomb, arm the Kurds. What else?
There are no good guys in Syria. Let the rest of the world figure that mess out.
“...President Obama , and I think far too many Republicans , are eager to get us in the middle of an internecine civil war in Syria. We don’t have a dog in that fight.”
He said that???? Something is fishy here.
What is the inevitable National Security threat against the United States from Assad in Syria?
Furthermore, I would not even call it a “Civil War”. That is the FILTHY LIE from the Establishment/Globalist. It’s Saudi Arabia trying to get access to a Natural Gas pipeline to compete with Russia’s monopoly over Europe when it comes to Natural Gas. Saudi Arabia wants to use U.S. Troops to die for their gas pipeline.
This is an invasion by Saudi Arabia’s Proxy Army Al-Qaeda. You know the very army that attacked us on September 11th, 2001 and killed many of our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Besides risking a war with Russia that has and is building a military base. The war could go nuclear.
Just beyond a stupid move. We are broke too. It will further bankrupt us a Republic and kill off some of our best Americans.
Stay the h@ll out!
Warning From Ted Cruz: Far Too Many Republicans Are Eager To Drag U.S. Into Syria's Civil War
Yeah, no kidding.
“The enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my friend,” he said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damn Straight!
When it comes to muzzies - the enemy of my enemy is still my enemy.
Cruz said that? Who’s he talking to?
Good idea,he is right,The Russians,Iranians all want Assad in power,our guys would be fighting them as well as trying to figure out if you kill Isis people because they are also trying to get rid of Assad as well as us,that is a quagmire we don’t to send our troops into,Putin is doing fine killing Isis
Anyway, she made a good point on some show last night. Obama is illegally using the military to try to topple the Assad regime.
Congress hasn't declared war on Syria.
Of course we shouldn’t involve ourselves in a civil war. But If ISIS is threatening our country then we should remove the threat.
Syria's civil war is coming here.
The issue isn’t whether or not we should be involved in Syria. The issue is that we are on the wrong side in Syria.
Hmmm.... Yeah, let’s wait until ISIS attacks us on our homeland first, then we will think about it.
We have plenty of Mexican and South American “refugees” We don’t need any more immigrants. Unless you are rich and need folks to do landscaping and clean the pool for minimum wage.
This really is not à ll that complicated. ISIS, Al Qaeda, Iran are all proximate enemies. Ideally the Sunni nuts and shia nuts kill each other but right now it is the Sunni nuts reaching out to kill us and our allies. So we should kill as many as we can whenever we can.
OK. I don't believe this is true; the accusation came from Obama and there hasn't been yet any independent confirmation. Both logic and event sequence point to the Arab Spring "Freedom Fighters" of the Muslim Brotherhood which include, among others, such wonderful liberators as Al Qaeda and ISIS. There just was nothing for Assad to gain by gassing the area and the political cost was staggering.
There's more to cast doubt on the commonly accepted narrative but it can't be ignored that the Assad family protected the Christian majority for generations while the first act of the rebels was to wipe them out which buys Assad a lot of good will and benefit of the doubt in my book...if not Obama's.
I agree with staying out of Syria. However I believe the US needs to go back into Iraq, reestablish relationshisp with the various tribes and Kurds regardless of what the Iraqi government says, although I think they will welcome such a move. Clear out Iraq, using Iraqi troops as much as possible and then keep a substantial force to keep Iraq free of ISIS and AQ. Many in Iraq will welcome the US. Keep the troops there as we did in Europe, Japan and Korea after WWII. The American GI’s kept those areas free for decades.
