Michael Medved was nattering that there would be a showdown at the convention if Trump wins in a blowout. He suggested the delegates would put forward Paul Ryan. He wasn’t kidding. Does he know something??
If Trump sweeps, then the majority of the delegates will be those who signed up to be Trump delegates. People who chose to be Trump delegates won’t flip, cheaply.
That scenario sounds like a Michael Moore wet dream as if Trump were cheated out of his nomination he’d go rogue (third party).
I thought primaries were invented to avoid
having brokered conventions. And at Trump’s
present dominance, he should have enough
delegates to blow through the first
round, securing the nomination. If the
GOPe tries to nuke him, it could end the party.
No! Medved has been shilling for the RINO^s for months since he came back from throat cancer treatment. He is against Trump & Cruz. ANyone else is just fine and dandy with him, even Carson.
Michael Medved knows lots of things but he has been on a prolonged and protracted anti-Trump rant for weeks now. He is obsessed with Trump and can't let go. Every show, day after day. This prediction is mere expression of wish fulfillment on his part.
Oh, they could...but it would end the party. The base is fed up.
If the republican party did that, not only would they lose the presidential election, but Paul Ryan would lose his congressional seat, and quite a few other republicans too, would end up out of office.
