He has a good point. I’ve been a CC for over 20 years. The only time I carry is out in the woods. I have just recently considered carrying my 357 revolver or XD40. I think going out and buying one of those small pocket revolvers would be a better investment than a revolver.
For believers of maximum state’s rights and limited federal government, that’s a poor idea.
What he needs to do is to get rid of all restrictive federal laws and leave it up to the states what they want to do with guns. But what is paramount is to uphold the 2A. That is the only job the feds should have regarding guns, which is to stop a state from being restrictive.
So in essence, the policy I sorta outlined above would make CC laws the same for all states.
If “caught” in a gun free zone (like a store..Goodyear?) you will be asked to leave. If you do not leave, then you are charged with trespassing, a misdemeanor. But don’t get caught. If you are carrying concealed properly, who will know? The whole idea of CCW is that NOBODY knows you have a weapon. I’m waiting for the news report of the first jihadi taken down by a citizen. (And that will probably happen in a gun free (killing) zone.
When I go out I always carry my concealed .380 “buddy.”
Now, living in Texas, I will be able to open carry beginning January 1, 2016.

When I carry, my Glock never has a round chambered. Will only take 2 seconds, but it might give away my intentions. It is the price I pay for increased safety.
