House Speaker Paul Ryan is lining up a showdown vote for Thursday on President Obama's plan to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees in the United States.
But conservatives on Capitol Hill who want to see the refugee program halted are warning that Ryan's plan is nothing but a smokescreen designed to give lip-service while refusing to defund the program.
Ryan likely has no intention of cutting off the flow of Muslim refugees into the U.S., nor does he plan to ensure Syria's persecuted Christian minority gets rescued from the clutches of ISIS, sources told WND.

The new Speaker of the House appears to be adopting the procedures of his predecessor.
A meaningless symbolic vote to fool the electorate will be followed by giving Obama and the Democrats whatever they want.
We have been down this road before. Only for show.
Another resounding WIN! for lesser evil voting.
The Republocrats obviously worry more about some kind of imagined political fallout than their constitutional duty to repel invasions and protect American lives, and preserve our wonderful country.
Apparently even this so-called “Freedom Caucus” and Brat caved into pressure to let Ryan in.
WHERE IS INTEGRITY??? And GUTS??? And a heart for our country and a loathing of political expediency???
Where is the integrity of people who keep electing people like Ryan and Mitch and the rest? there’s your answer.

Too bad most of you were so blinded by lust over him in 2012. I knew he was liberal and was bashed for even mentioning it.........No surprise I was right. I typically am. It gets so comical around here when the group has a favorite crush.
Next will be the declaration that the government will NOT be shut down and impeachment is OFF the table.

It was the sweater vest that sent up red flags to me.
Anyone that would campaign and run with with Romney should be pretty obvious in their leanings.
Of course a lot here actually wanted that.
Well, yes, of course, it is up to the American People to rise up and take back their Constitution and their country.
You know what? I think that’s exactly what is about to happen - against all odds. I think we’re going to see a reinstatement of constitutional limited, republican government and a rebirth for freedom in America for the next short while (a few decades). A sort of last, short golden age affecting the world, because America always affects the world.
After that and after we’ve all been taken up to Heaven, it’ll all come crashing down.

I don’t really remember that much positive about Ryan on this site in 2012. I remember Trump castigating him for the ridiculous bill he came out with, and I refused to watch him debate Joe.
Oh I don’t know. Quite a few were sending him kisses.
Better than Obama. Many here were for anybody other than Obama.
Does he really think any legislation would actually stop Obama from doing what he wants to do?
