One of the worse things President Bush did was try to high jack that evil death cult by calling it repeatedly a “religion of peace”.
I try not to Bush bash, but he was horribly wrong with that mantra. Who knows, it might might have contributed to the country going back to sleep and even electing a stealth muslim to replace him.
I can appreciate the bind he was in after 9-11, knowing that we would need the support of Muslim countries in fighting al Qaeda, which would not have been forthcoming had he said we were at war with Islam.
I have heard it said that the art of diplomacy is saying: "Nice doggie" while looking for a rock.
Of course, now that we have a Muslim-loving traitor in the White House, things are much clearer. Or should be.
You nailed it. Bush made a horrible mistake. He should have said that most Moslems are not guilty of these types of crimes, but that in a religion of 1.3 billion (or whatever the number was then) you only need a small percentage to have a whole lot of terrorists. Only 1% would mean 13 million terrorists, or at least active terrorist supporters - and we all know that the percentage is higher than 1%.
That’s what happens when you do business with the Saudis and other oil-rich Arab nations - you become a shill for them.
Not so. To Islam, peace is attained when all the world is Muslim. To the rest of the world, peace is the absence of conflict.
