Trump: I’ll ‘go to war’ with Cruz if he rises higher
The Hill ^ | 11/16/2015 | Mark Hensch

Donald Trump said Monday he is capable of turning on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in their competition for the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination.

“If he catches on, I guess we’ll have to go to war,” he told host Joe Kernen on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” “We’ll see what happens but so far we haven’t,” Trump continued. "He’s been very supportive [and] we have a lot of the same ideas.

“Well, he’s been very nice and supportive of everything I’ve said, more than anybody else.”

97% conservative lifetime rating. What’s the rating on your candidate? Or isn’t 97% enough? Are you a hated purist that wants Jesus and will accept no less?

This is just Trump saying that he wants to win.

It's no big deal, and I'm a Cruz supporter.

Now if Trump tries to slime Cruz, that would be a big deal and this is what Cruz supporters were pointing out last week, when Trump was sliming Carson.

If Trump goes to war with Cruz I will have to go to war with Trump. So far, I have given Trump the benefit of the doubt.

My sentiments also.....Trump will lose this bid for POTUS if he doesn't start acting with a modicum of statesmanship....Trump is a good and successful American. Senator Cruz is also a good and very successful Senator. Senator Cruz stands for his love of country, the United States Constitution, and law, no question about it. Mr. Trump will have to tread most carefully in his criticisms of this senator AND, I might add, any truly harsh criticisms of his fellow campaigners unless they be true. Americans don't cotton to bully's. Strong leadership without the nasty side is what we need....Obama has given us both nasty and bully. Enough is enough!

Trump jumped the shark with his attacks on Carson. I don’t know what the heck he was doing.

Although I will vote for him simply for the fact that immigration is the most important issue for 2016.

You equate my statements on lesser evil with perfection I never once called for. Yet you excuse the pure liberalism of Romney, Bhoner and Mitch.

Check your mirror.

I like Trump and I like Cruz. They would make a great team.
If the two go to war, it will be very interesting and will be an intellectual war. I’m kinda looking forward to that.

I like Trump...but he is spreading it a little thin. Go to war with the damned Democrats and RINO “republicans”...but don’t eat your own! Dial it down and redirect your fire.

Trump fires away at 0 and Hillary, non-stop. Tonight in Knoxville it was about 0’s inability to call them “radical Islamic terrorists”.

Trump was asked about Cruz, so he answered.

I take it you thought this was going to stay just a bridge game, between Trump and Cruz?

And, I take it you are new to politics? There are not going to be very long-lived Marques of Queensbury Rules, just to easy your delicate sensibilities.

Brace yourself. This is going to get nasty, because this year is a desperate election for America. Trump is a gladiator, and Cruz is no wilting flower himself. He can take care of himself, or should get out of the kitchen, right?

All those silly threads posted that the two of them were in tandem, you know— the good cop/bad cop thing.

I think back to when Trump got the kitchen sink thrown at him, clear back in the beginning, because he was in New York, raised there, doing business there and in doing business even in foreign locations, he needed advice, counsel and favors from representatives, ambassadors, etc., to move on deals.

Naturally, he supported both parties to some extent, but he was always a Republican, and he cheerfully gave to Democrats too. Hell, it was probably a write-off. LOL!

Did he deny ANY of those allegations? No, instead he pleaded “guilty” right out of the gate and said, “ yep, I did it— I did it all”. He was honest and people liked that about him. Still do.

He doesn’t really give a damn who understands it, or likes it. You can do that ONLY when you’re your own man and you’re mad as hell at what is happening to our once great country. People like that about him, too.

Wall Street donors are globalists and they expect favors from whomever it is that they support. Trump is beholden to no one.

Cruz? Not so much. A great guy, Cruz, but hanging with globalists for campaign money is not a plus. Hillary does that crap all day long, herself. It just looks funky. I expect Trump will have to point these facts out. Remember, Trump knows all these guys. He called some of them “killers”, if you recall.

So, yes, I’d be for getting into bloody campaign mode. Just remember, Trump supporters are Cruz for second choice, unless his supporters get to be real jerks and run us off.

My theory is if the Estab succeeds in running off Trump, no other candidate will be able to stand, except the protected and over-funded RINO candidate who is handed the nomination again.

That is flat out a lie, I never excused them, in fact I changed my voter affiliation to independent directly because of them. Add to that by definition anyone less evil then another is the lessor evil. Now not only are you a proven hypocrite, you are a proven liar as well.

You should also sell boxes of tissues.

No one demanding increased legal immigration should be anywhere near the White House.

Every single terrorist attack within the US including 9/11 was performed by immigrants invited in by the US government.

“Intellectually, he would be bringing a pancake turner to a rapier fight.”

Yes, dumb people routinely build companies worth billions, and have top politicians coming to him with hat in hand.

Did Cruz’s “superior” intellect prompt him to hold back on immigration, or vote for the Corker bill, or enable Obamatrade? Or call for a five-fold increase in H1-B visas.

To save you some effort, it is not necessary to post and tell me what a horrible person I am. I have already been told that by plenty of Cruz supporters (including you). That always, in their minds, erases his support of the Obama agenda and sets him on a righteous path.

Me too, Boss.
I think it was just a figure of speech.
I really think they need each other,
and together they would be unstoppable!

Like-Shock and awe!
Fire and brimstone!

I love them both, and sincerely hope they team up!

Oh? Then whats your reason for railing me about holding feet to fire over lesser evil? You DO have a post history and I suggest people read our exchanges. You arent the first to call me a liar. but like the rest, you cannot back it up.
