Even worse, their perceived version is of some "victim" randomly shoulder firing an M60 in all directions until they expend their ammo or everything around them stops moving.
They completely ignore the fact that in most gun-involved incidents, where return fire was exchanged, EXCEPT in cases like gang-style, kill-em-all warfare, the only persons hit...were the original assailant(s) and victim(s)!
