This is how we vet presidents, right? I mean, if they’re Muslim.
Assuming they tell the truth? Suuuure.
Any politician who is ok with Syrian refugees as long as they are “vetted” should be discounted. They know full well there is no information on the other side to “vet”. If they believe “vetting” is sufficient then they are either lying or stupid. Either way, that candidate is not fit to be President.
Islamic violence is a threat to people and nation, so it is no concern.
If it was a threat to party, then it would be something to worry about. As it is, both parties can find a way to profit from Islamic violence.
I was having trouble at the tax office getting an identity card for my mother who had just surrendered her driver’s license. She didn’t have an official copy of her marriage certificate and the court house where it was filed in 1943 no longer existed. In fact the entire town had been subsumed into a larger metro area. We couldn’t use her former driver’s license for some reason. Next to us there was a man who spoke no English and had no identity papers. The clerk had him swear to his identity and handed him his license. Simple as that. But my 98 year old mother was being put through hell. I pointed out the transaction at the other window as I was about to go nuclear. The clerk suddenly asked if my mother had a fishing license as they were free at her age. (blink, blink.) No. Why? He said that would do. He issued her a fishing license and used that as her second identity papers.
Laws are great, but they depend on the guy running the counter to follow them.

It’s impossible to vett all of them properly. Many have forged papers, stolen identities or no ID at all.
Maybe they’ll make them swear on a stack of bibles.

When Trump says, stupid people are running this country, there can be no argument. He could add, people wishing to harm American citizens, too. No argument.
A friend of mine conducts investigations on people applying for Secret or Top Secret clearance. My friend is being tasked to “process” refugees/immigrants/terrorists. There is no vetting or investigation, simply a paperwork shuffle and anyone gets in. obama is flooding the US with everyone and everything.

Unfair? Hardly. Show me the Muslim outrage at any terrorist attack, at any ISIS atrocity. {crickets} There are no "moderate" Muslims. Only Muslims actively committing acts of terror and violence, and those that have not - yet. They are all guilty.
Racist? I've heard this insult ineffectively applied to many people in many situations just like this - where race has absolutely nothing to do with it. Islam claims to be a religion, not a race.
Islamophobe? I suggest you look up "phobia" - there is nothing irrational about a fear of an organization that has been responsible for tens of thousands of acts of terror and violence and whose stated objective is to subjugate or kill me, you...everyone.
There is no such thing as a comprehensive background check on a US citizen that has been here since birth.
When doing security background checks for high security clearance or for jobs with entities like the FBI and Secret Service they don’t go to the national criminal history databases, punch a couple of buttons then decide the person is clean. They do those kind of electronic searches but they also have a tedious process of interviewing the person then checking their answers on the phone then going on site to interview people the subject has known for years.
These people from Syria, much like Obama, have ZERO information contained in any domestic or international electronic database and it is IMPOSSIBLE to site interview anyone who might know their history and if we did interview people on site we could not guarantee we were interviewing the right people.
This is a farce, this is playing Russian roulette with the American people. Which is nothing new, we have let the dregs of the third world in over the southern border for decades.

Too many Americans are simply too uninformed and/or naive to have the intellectual tool to rationally look at something that is very simple and draw a simple conclusion. The conclusion is that islam is not a religion, it is a political construct that has a single goal and that is to displace everything that it is not. It has no place in this country. The people that follow it have no place in this country. The entity known as islam and it’s followers are traitors to the core of this nation. They represent treason and should be dealt with accordingly.
