So if I donât buy the product, then ipso facto the commercial wonât bother me anymore...is that it...? No, if the commercial bothers you then don't patronize the company that sponsored it. Refuse to give them any of your money. That's all you can do. Short of not watching TV.
To: DJ MacWoW
Social engineering is not what they're in business to do, is it. But liberals get away with pushing an agenda and we have every right to get ANGRY. And every right not to buy Campbell's soups. That and bellyaching about the commercial are about your only choices. Boycotting would, to me, be the more satisfactory of the two. But that's just me.

Maybe the problem is monosodium glutamate MSG. Campbell soup is loaded with that crap and much more. That stuff affects some of us by causing rapid and irregular heart beat. Maybe the doctor was right.

You're wrong. They push their agenda and you suggest that we remain silent. Not gonna happen. The only way to fight liberal stupidity is to expose it and push back.
If you disagree, why are you on an activist site?

They push their agenda and you suggest that we remain silent. I'm suggesting you not buy any of their soup. If enough people do that then that will hurt them more than complaining about the commercial on chatrooms.

What's more activist than a boycott?

I’ll never buy Campbell’s again.

Except your comment suggested that doing so ‘solves the problem’...we can all boycott, yet the ‘problem’ of sodomy aggression continues...

I made the mistake of buying some `Smart Choice’ frozen dinners for wifey and me. Sometimes when I’m down with migraines it’s all I can do to heat something up.
Anyway, that night I was like ALF trying to digest a cat swallowed whole: “I don’t remember eating that!” It was awful, not as bad but like Mexico.
Stouffers ain’t too bad. The fattier the better, like their lasagna. With extra meat.

What's more activist than a boycott? You're really a liberal, aren't ya.
You call it bellyaching then claim you suggest a boycott. Can you organize one without talking about it?
Go away.

"I had a soup thread a few years back when they changed their recipes. It tasted like crap. A lot of FReepers had quit buying it by then. Anyway I wrote to them to complain and they told me their chef's had worked hard to make the soup "better" and they'd give me a voucher for some free soup. I told them I didn't want their soup even if it was free and their "chef's" only worked for them because they couldn't get a job anywhere else. lol"
I have a bunch of FR threads bookmarked that I've never finished reading. Guess what one of them is...

Don’t think that 2-3% should be their target demographic. Doesn’t affect my shopping habits - I stopped buying canned soups years ago.

No more Campbell’s products in my home. Pregresso makes higher quality products anyway.

Campbell’s soup have gone over $1 per tiny can. Pass. Walmart just had their Cream of Mushroom for 75 cents a can, so I snagged a few as I don’t care for the cheaper ‘shroom soups. Got 3 cans of Aldi on the shelf I gotta figure how to use...

I like to use the Cream of Mushroom for stock in cooking chops or chicken. I’ll add a little chicken, pork or beef stock. Braising can make tougher cuts easier to eat.
Food prices are out of control. I do all our shopping.
If you have a Meijers you might check out its specials. Aldis is good too, but have you noticed they don’t send out weekly sale ads anymore?

Itâs a shame that companies believe their goal is social engineering rather than selling a product. Gays are a marketers' dream, all of that disposable income, because most don't have kids.
