LYONS — Talk about getting more than he bargained for.
A Rochester man who tried to rob two Lyons residents at gunpoint with a BB pistol Wednesday night ended up getting injured — and later arrested by Wayne County sheriff’s deputies — when one of the residents put up a fight.
Muhaimin Muhammed, 48, was charged with two counts of second-degree attempted robbery, second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree burglary. All are felony charges.
Deputies said the incident happened about 11 p.m, when Muhammed entered a home on Geneva Street in the village of Lyons, confronted a male and female inside and tried to rob them at gunpoint. He is accused of firing the gun — which deputies later determined was a co2 BB pistol — and hitting the man in the hand with a pellet.
Muhammed is also accused of hitting the man with a tire iron. Deputies said the resident was able to tackle Muhammed, and during the struggle both men fell over a railing and down a flight of stairs.
The fight continued in the front lawn of the home, where deputies and Lyons police found the two men and broke it up. Both men suffered injuries that were not considered life threatening. They were taken to area hospitals for treatment and later released.
The female resident was not injured.
Muhammed was arraigned in Lyons Village Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
And he will claim racism because he wasn’t allowed to continue the robbery.
He’s just following the example of his namesake, who was the greatest of liers, thiefs, robbers, brigands, enslavers, rapist and murderers.
“Police broke up the fight.”
Looking at the picture, I’d say they got there a few minutes too soon, and saved his worthless ass.

I grew up in Lyons. I wonder if I know the residents who are unnamed.

Prime example of a moderate muslim. If he were a radical muslim he would have gone straight to beheading.
He got off easy. The first thing to happen to him should have been gouging his eyes out followed by pounding his nose into his skull.

But no sensible Black Muslim would be caught dead with a friggin’ CO2 bb gun. He’d have himself a real piece. Think this clown just doesn’t know anybody to buy one from.
What will happen is a shyster lawyer will latch on and sue the homeowners for millions for his injuries, DA will decline to prosecute.
Didn’t some lawyer do just that to some old lady where a burglar fell through a skylight and landed on a butcher block injuring himself. He sued for his injuries and won? I think that incident was in the movie “Liar Liar” ....
And while he was still fighting with the victim when the cops showed up, the guy pictured does not appear to be the winner.
The police should have driven around the block one more time before getting to the crime scene.
