Donald Trump is going all in with the Friday the 13th motif in attacking Ben Carson.
In a video posted to Instagram, spooky, suspenseful music plays as footage of Carson speaks about past claim of physical violence, one that he attributed to his "pathological temperament" in his book "Gifted Hands."
"I had a large camping knife, and I tried to stab him in the abdomen," a younger Carson says in the video, before a clip of CNN's report last week shows a man who appeared to question Carson's autobiographical account.
"What?" the former neighbor tells CNN in the video, who says "no" with a shake of the head when asked if it fits with the person he knew.

Trump is kind of blowing.
This is mainstream media type distortion and smear stuff and it is off message.
Trump is great because he points out the media smear tactics and stands up to them. But here he is falling in line with them.
Keep it classy, Trump.
What do you mean off message? Trump has spelled out much of his position. This is how elections work and there is plenty of time for messages with the election a year away.
His goal is to knock those he’s running against off the stage. Once they’re gone, it will be Hillary’s turn.
This is how it works.
The question is how well will it work.
Standing up to the media and standing against illegal immigration and its enablers was a great tactic - because it is more than just a tactic. It’s real and it resonates and is important.
Recycling leftist smears of Ben Carson, not so much.
I have posted this to every Trump FB and other site to which I have access. If you are also a supporter and can help, please do so.
PLEASE — if anyone with the Trump campaign is monitoring these sites — tell the candidate to back down the invective and ridicule. It is really hurting the campaign and causing some folks to rethink their support for one of the two men who can clear out the wreckage Obama is leaving behind! PLEASE?!?!
I understand. But The Donald needs to do what nearly every past candidate has done with that sort of factual info: Let other folks put it out there! I respect Trump’s honesty in doing so himself but it makes this otherwise good man seem petty and small to those who are not following these campaigns, candidates and issues as closely as we wonks are.

Carson is done.
Learn it.
Ben Carson will pray for him. Again.
Ben Carson has lost 5 points in the current Reuters daily polling since the stabbing incident started to get wide exposure. Trump saw that and pounced.
“Carson is done.”
I am not addressing this or arguing against this, or for it.
Personally my opinion has always been that Carson will not get the nomination.
Trump on the other hand may well get it and I think he must be considered the favorite.
He is from NYC...class doesnt grow there.
