U.S. presidential candidate Ben Carson recommended praying for rival Donald Trump after the real-estate mogul and television personality, in a 95-minute rant in Iowa, likened him to a child molester, Carson's business manager said on Friday.
"When I spoke with Dr. Carson about this yesterday how we should respond, you know he was so sad about it. He said: "Pray for him." He feels sorry for him because he really likes Mr. Trump," Armstrong Williams, who often acts as Carson's surrogate in the media, told CNN.
"To see him just imploding before our very eyes - it's just sad to watch," Williams said.
Speaking in Iowa on Thursday evening, Trump, a leading contender for the Republican nomination in the 2016 presidential election, cast doubt on Carson's oft-reported story of lunging at someone with a hunting knife as a child, an episode Carson says led him to his Christian faith.
A retired neurosurgeon, Carson has emerged as the main challenger to Trump's top position in national polls and popularity in early deciding states. A Reuters/Ipsos poll this month found 31 percent of Republicans favored Trump. Carson followed at 18 percent.
"Give me a break," Trump said in his Thursday speech, where he also lashed out at other Republican candidates and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. "How stupid are the people of Iowa? How stupid are the people of the country to believe that crap?"
He said the incident showed Carson had a "pathological" temper.
"If you're pathological, there's no cure for that," Trump said. "If you're a child molester, there's no cure. They can't stop you."
Carson has said his intended stabbing victim's belt buckle blocked his knife, a detail Trump singled out in his rant.

Except Carson never said he was holier than thou. In fact, he admitted that he had a temper problem. That’s holier than thou? That’s admitting that he’s WORSE than thou.
Everybody voting in the Republican primaries should know that Ben Carson tried to murder at least two people when he was a teenager.. then let them decide if they want somebody like that in charge of the nuclear button.. you can bet the Democrats will bring all of that up in the general election if he makes it that far and he will be slaughtered,,, Trump is warning the people now don’t do it.. Good for Carson for turning himself around but he will always be a wack job
Trump will not be the nominee, and my guess is Trump is beginning to know that which is part of what led to his meltdown yesterday.
Support him if you want, but please don’t become too emotionally attached. When “the Donald” fails to win the nomination, I am hoping his followers won’t waste precious time lashing out, flailing and whining. And yes, I will pray for Trump and his fanatical supporters, because before all is said and done and Trump is gone from the field things are likely to get very ugly.

I do too, but not because I don’t want him to be President. I would vote for him over Hillary anytime. However, that does not mean that we don’t present his faults for all to see. We want to know what we’re getting.
Look, I am a Ted Cruz supporter, but I don;t go about bashing anyone who criticizes his policies.

If your running for ANY office, if there is something in your past you don't want known, then don't run, because they will find it, and they will use it...
Carson did this himself...he wrote the books, now either pay up or shut up....you can't have it both ways...
We were not allowed to vett obuma like this, because he never would have got to be where he is if we knew what he is and is here for, he has everything locked up....
We have to vett people to know who is going to be leading our country...and you can't say Trump hasn't been vetted, there isn't a leaf, rock, mountain, tree root that hasn't been dug up on him....
Obviously you haven’t taken the time to read any of Trump’s PUBLISHED policies, like tax reform, immigration, 2nd amendment, etc. Go to his website and READ what you claim he hasn’t articulated. To ME his policies are CLEARAND they are in writing.

Why doesn't Trump go after him on the issues? I don't like Carson's position on immigration and a few other issues, that is why I support Cruz.

At best, it was faulty recollection when it came to his “WEST POINT SCHOLARSHIP” narrative.
As for his near stabbing of someone in his youth, that was over 50 years ago. Since we can’t confirm or deny it without anyone to talk to, how do we know he lied?
I’ll side with you on one issue — his non-denial denial of his connection to the vitamin company Mannatech is questionable.
But then, I wonder how BIG a deal is compared to Hillary’s obvious lies with Benghazi where 4 LIVES were lost.
No wonder Carson is still nipping at Trump’s heels.
If your man Trump wants to attack Carson, there’s a lot of things he can use — HIS POLICIES for instance.
Unfortunately, Trump isn’t focusing on those.
