We moved from Thousand Oaks, CA, to Tennessee in 2010. My husband says the only thing he misses is In-N-Out. It’s a cult to some SoCal natives, which he is. To me they were just boring hamburgers and I’d had better. I did like to frequent In-N-Out to support the Christian owners.

Not only that, but there’s no recourse for In-N-Out if someone from DoorDash doctors the burger, they don’t have any control over the product, without a formal business arrangement with DoorDash, that would have to pass through proper legal channels.

True. In addition, In-N-Out might have a contract with another delivery service.

In and Out supports FAMILY VALUES, while Door Dash has a DIFFERENT OPINION on it. Nice to see In and Out about to put them out of business.

We had so many In-n-Out meals in that cab, he probably had to ride with the windows down for the rest of the night. I do pizza delivery, (and other stuff too.) Now I don't even smell pizza anymore.

BTW: Best damn burgers on the planet,
I disagree. I think they are WAY overrated ...BUT they are a fantastic organization. They're privately owned, they grind their own meat, never frozen, they have their own fleet of delivery trucks and maintenance shop, their managers have to take a company course in L.A., they even have their own sign making shop...They are VERY impressive.

I disagree, if they can show that the food delivered is at a substandard level to what they serve at the restaurant, I believe that they would have a very good argument that their brand was being damaged.

There's a Tommy's in Corona, next to Lenny Dykstra's car wash off Ontario, so Riverside County also.
I used to order two all the time but don't think I ever tried three. Saw it done once.
Here's a trivia question for you. Do you recall back about 1970 there was a paper shortage--logger's strike or something--so Tommy's HAD NO NAPKINS!? The only thing they had were those wax-papery liners to clean the chili off your hands. Didn't seem to hurt business any, though.

A quibble: Tommy's doesn't need to actually show substandard service, it just needs to refuse to take the chance it might be.

any food product gets cooled off when delivered
unless they can show there’s some deliberate damage (very very unlikely).... it would appear they have no case
they lose all rights to the product when they sell it
it is not theirs anymore, they have no further say
now, if the private delivery were to appropriate their trade mark logos, then that would be actionable
just my 2 cents worth, for free too!
so its worth at least as much as you paid for it
ha
happy day to you,
ps: a major portion of taxicab revenues are delivering grub like this (and booze) to residences....same idea...nothing new now that i have heard anyways
