The University of Missouri has reached the point where I consider their graduates unemployable. Any students there with half a brain would do well to transfer to another school ASAP.
There is a university in Alabama (I won’t divulge the name) where if you have an engineering degree from that campus...it’s basically worthless. Over the past two decades, they’ve hired marginal instructors and gotten a negative impression built up. Companies will still do the interviews and let these graduates come in....but they aren’t going to be serious about hiring them.
I would probably look at Mizzou and say that it’s taken the first step toward this situation. If I were a parent, and paying the $25,000 a year for tuition and board for my kid being there....I’d be working on plan B to get that kid out by the break and enroll them somewhere else.
