Illegal Alien Use Of Social Security Numbers For Employment

First of all, I apologize for the vanity, but this is a subject that has been touched on inside the forum over the years briefly. Given the current political season and the focus on the illegals in our midst, I would like to bring this up again.

We discuss the use of E-verify and other eligibility sites for employers to use, but we have a governmental enemy working against us: The Social Security Administration itself. Of course, the problem has gotten much worse during the current regime, and local SSA offices have been given their marching orders for years now. (But no one talks about it.)

Here is how it works: An illegal immigrant will often use a stolen Social Security number, or an invalid one (from someone who is deceased - just like Obama did). The employer will accept the number, and the illegal begins working and paying taxes. So let's say the illegal doesn't get caught using the stolen number, and eventually gets a green card. What happens then is the infuriating part (or one of them).

The Social Security Administration then goes back and retroactively credits the "new worker" with all of the fraudulently obtained credits toward retirement or benefits.

Local offices of the SSA have been told that they WILL NOT prosecute this fraud - even if they use someone's number. There are countless examples of people finding out that they are somehow working a different job far away doing something they've never done before. I wonder how many people have had loans or mortgages taken out in their name?

Since the SSA operated by regulation, why can't one of our sitting Senators who are running for President address this with some action. (Yes, rhetorical I know.)

Thank you for your time.
