Actually, in my area the coffee shops are going strong. There's about nine other coffee shops other than Starbucks. There used to be a Gloria Jeans, but that closed down. Maybe Starbucks, which is a stones throw away, had something to do with it.

Like I said, I don't drink coffee, so I don't know what the big thrill is.

That is very unusual.

A coffee shop to me is one with specialty coffee, not the usual crap that comes in a big class container.

But if that is what you have in your area, that is very unusual. I live in Arizona and there just are no coffee shops with really good coffees or teas.
