Tonight's presidential debate moderators are under just as much scrutiny as the candidates themselves after last month's embarrassing CNBC free-for-all.

-snip-

Her co-moderator Neil Cavuto said his goal is to make himself "invisible." He will have a lot easier time achieving that than Bartiromo will. The other member of the panel is Wall Street Journal Editor In Chief Gerard Baker.

In the age of the internet do we really need something as antiquated as a formal debate. Why do we need a Brit asking the questions?

The notion that this staged show trial pretending to be a “debate” is just part of the process is nonsense.

******************

Totally agree. A debate these things aren’t. In a true debate style a proposition
would be presented and each would have time to address the proposition, pro/con and
how they would handle it. Then other candidates should have time to counter with
their points, weakness or strong points, etc.

A moderator should be there to keep time, pose the debate question, etc.

INFO:

Fox Business Network will carry both debates live on tv.
