New evidence in the investigation of the Russian airliner that crashed in Egypt indicates an inside man may have helped to plant an explosive device on board, aviation security officials told ABC News.
Investigators today will be scrutinizing surveillance tape and employee records at Egypt's Sharm el Sheikh airport, from which the Russian jet took off, looking for a ramp worker who authorities say may have been recruited by ISIS to plant a bomb on the plane.
"ISIS may have concluded that the best way to defeat airport defenses is not to go through them but to go around them with the help of somebody on the inside," Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who has received classified briefings on the investigation, said on ABC News' "This Week" Sunday.
American authorities told ABC News that electronic intercepts of ISIS, both before and after the crash, indicated that ISIS was in communication with someone at the airport.
The first hard evidence of a possible bomb was revealed this weekend by Egyptian officials who said the cockpit voice recorder, the CVR, captured a distinct but undetermined noise just before it stopped working.
"A noise was heard in the last second of the CVR recording," an Egyptian official said.

To the true and dedicated Muslim terrorist this is not a deterrence. Their families are meaningless to them, they have several anyway, and are expendable as evidenced by the number of times we have seen them blow up their own children to demonstrate bomb effectiveness. These are seventh century murdering maniacs that believe in a prophet that duped them from the start.
My thoughts are with a cargo door not secured properly. There by having a effective opening of airframe, similar to this Hawaiian plane.

See my previous response. This is not a theory. The Technique has been tried before, and it works.
After Victoria Nuland speaking to congress warned (sounded like it was a threat) that ISIS would target Russia in retaliation. I guess only the USA can attack ISIS without fear of retaliation.
Maybe the plane was just structurally defective, I’d rather see that occur than a terrorist act.
Feel sorry for the Russian people, the propagandist Putinistas need a barf alert on them though.
Victoria Nuland, what a joke. One can’t even get as dirty as the Putinistas.
How are they gonna screen for this at all these airports?
Thousands Standing Around (TSA) is full of holes as it is.
Glad I'll be home.
Prayers up for real on this nightmare.
Yes...although the only reason for a false flag like this is if Russia wants to move on the Sinai...would they be thinking moving on the Suez canal?
They need to confirm that we can find chemical residue from the explosives that gone off—whether it’s C-4, Semtex, detonation cord, or some other modern plastic explosive.
Not Syria. Egypt.
The other side of Israel.
We all probably agree. What I am sure of is that nothing has been proven yet, and everyone so far is guessing.
The possibilities are endless. Governments and their corrupt leaders have always been highly deceptive and self serving. The deaths of hundreds or thousands of average citizens is perfectly acceptable if the end justifies the means. Too bad more of them were not exposed and hung.
That various interests, media and competing nations are involved in the investigation does keep the investigators from covering up events. Egypt on their own would have preferred to make this a Russian problem and covered up terrorst events. Others like France prefer a bomb than equipment failure. Checks and balances work. Russian leaders might see an attack by ISIS on innocent Russians as in their interest to gain public opinion for their actions in Syria. Many other complex entanglements exist..just my 2 cents
Good catch! With your eyes you could have a good chance to hit a 98MPH fastball. ;^}
It’s time to put mini video cams in commercial airliners, like body cams on police officers. Data would be stored in black box. The technology is compact enough, and cost not excessive like MONTHS AND MONTHS OF CRASH INVESTIGATIONS ARE.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
If that were done it would be the defining data!
But surely someone would find a way to screw it up.......
We need the conspiracies(BS). /s
