Damn straight.
Chances are excellent that the “racial incidents” were perpetrated by Black activists, as is usually the case. After all, you can’t be an activist unless there is a grievance. Just ask J. Jackson and A. Sharpton. They’ve made tax-free millions that way.
Lock them out of the training facilities, cancel their athlete dining room ID cards and for those on scholarship, send them a bill for tuition and books. And tell them if they were 9-0 you wouldn’t have done the above.
Maybe they should investigate those incidents before jumping to conclusions. Of course they never do. Blacks making claims of racial discrimination never lie.
What are the players going to do? Get the students who attend their classes and take their tests on their behalf attend their practices and play their games on their behalf?
Fire both their butts right now.
How about you assistant coaches, what do you think?
Fire Pinkel today for insubordination. Have practice with whoever shows up. Cancel benefits to all who don't show up.
They should have never sent out that photo claiming the team is united. The coaches should have said we will practice Monday and if you are there, you play Saturday. Now by trying to please the radicals, they have pissed off the level headed players and no one wins. Very bad situation.
Between being the home of Faggot Football and this, recruiting ought to be going really good this fall.
Something not being mentioned much is the financial cost if they follow through and don’t show up for the home game with BYU this Saturday. All ticket holders would probably be due a refund and BYU would have a case to be made whole for lost TV revenue and any other revenue they were due under their agreement with Missouri.
Carried on to later games the cost could easily run into the millions. And all this based on only three incidents that have been mentioned, on a campus with 35,000 students. In a sane society, these ‘protesters’ would be slapped down instantly and their scholarships ended if they continued a boycott.
Disband the Team and send them to Class ,that will teach them
Good news for MU. Let those.guys keep their scholarships and send the rest home, after firing coach Pinkel.
It is hard to feel sorry for him.
My kids are recent grads from MIzzou. Their observations are quite different than the BLM-driven ‘protests’. For one, the recent crackdown on fraternities relative to sexual assault is a red-herring that covers up countless unreported assaults by black athletes. Second, a small percentage of the minorities, many of whom likely were waivered in, have effectively brought the ghetto to Columbia⦠thuggish behavior, entitled attitudes. Giving in will only result in perpetuating the myth that affirmative action works and will drag Mizzou and many other certain-to-follow schools down to the lowest common denominator.
Best guess, this was a planned program to keep the racist story to continue on and on and on.
Laura Ingraham just said reports say the university president has resigned.
According to USA Today Missouri will pay BYU $1 million if they forfeit this weekend, put a collection booth in front of their student union and let the supporters of the strike demonstrate their solidarity by paying this fine, any bets how much will be in the plate at the end of he week?...
This all started because of grad student’s demands. Here’s their demands.
guarantee that no graduate student employee be paid at a rate below the individual poverty line regardless of their appointment status, department or college.
— A guarantee that all graduate student employees receive full tuition waivers, regardless of their full-time equivalent appointment.
— Revised Aug. 22: a fully-subsidized student health care plan for all graduate student employees that is guaranteed for the full term of their graduate student employment.
— Immediate action on the part of the university to ease the burden on international students caused by the loss of their health insurance subsidy.
— More and affordable university-sponsored graduate student housing.
— A return of affordable, on-campus, university-sponsored childcare facilities for graduate students.
— Revised Aug. 22: A waiver of supplemental fees imposed by colleges, schools and departments for all graduate student employees.
Many on the team may not support the stupid demands, but none of that matters in present day USA. What matters is what people with the right color skin or asexual “orientation,” or other perceived victim class think. In this case that is people with black skin. They set the agenda because that’s what’s allowed, especially on college campuses. We live in a system of tyranny of the minority.
