D.C. Whispers readers were told of it weeks earlier. With the Jeb Bush campaign in tatters, the GOP Establishment needed to create an insurance policy to continue its control over the Republican nomination process. Donald Trumpâs volatility and refusal to bow to his would-be GOP masters required a new challenger to emerge.
It is the rough and tumble world of national politics, and is being played out in real-time at this very momentâ¦
âThere is alleged to be two primary forces working in conjunction to complete what has been an already weeks-in-the-making process to push Donald Trump down, and then off, of the 2016 serious contention GOP platform.
The first and greatest of the two waging war against Trump is said to be the Conservative Solutions Project â the primary super PAC for Republican senator and GOP presidential candidate, Marco Rubio
CSP is said to have accumulated a war chest in excess of $20 million dollars in just the past few months.â
The sentiment of the above report was then confirmed a few weeks later as indicated by the following headline:

Then Rubio could come in and win NH and go from there.
It would really be nice if there was some consistency to these conspiracy theories.
The Attempted Destruction Of Ben Carson: All According To GOP Establishment Plan
________________________________________________________________________________________________
I find that hard to believe. Carson votes will NOT go to Jebbie; they will go to Cruz.
If you disagree with Dr. Carson on issues, that’s fine. There is no candidate with whom I am in 100 percent agreement, and I suspect that’s true for every FReeper.
The attempted destruction of Dr. Carson over his background — which I find an inspirational example — and his faith — which appears to be deep and strong — is reprehensible. A man should not be attacked for guiding his life by prayer.
The Puerto Rico statehood was the final one for me. It’s almost down to Cruz or nobody for me now.
So how exactly is Trump going to “falter”? Further, why are Carson voters going to switch to Rubio? Seems unlikely. But whaveves?
Carson is not a conservative so I don’t see why the establishment would want to brng him down.
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on Friday conceded that he never applied nor was granted admission to West Point and attempted to recast his previous claims of a full scholarship to the military academy - despite numerous public and written statements to the contrary over the last few decades.
The problem is that Carson has always said that he never applied to West Point. Carson very explicitly stated in his biography that he only applied to a single college, Yale, because he could only afford to apply for one.
"An ironic situation faced me in the fall of 1968, for most of the top colleges in the country had contacted me with offers and enducements. However, each college required a ten-dollar non-returnable entrance fee sent with the application. I had exactly ten dollars, so I could apply only to one."
His statement (on the previous page of the the very same biography) that he was "offered" a scholarship to West Point fell under the same category as the other "offers and enducements" that he received from multiple colleges that he had not applied to yet.
It is no different from the "offers" of low interest rate loans that fill all of our spam folders. All you have to do to get the loan is apply for the loan, fill out a lengthy credit application, and get accepted.
I am no Carson apologist. When this story first came out I posted that he was toast. I still don't intend to vote for him. I just believe that blatant media lies against any conservatives should be exposed.
Exactly. Carson supports amnesty, gun control, and TPP, just for starters.
Yea, hard to believe that the MSM is doing the work of the GOP. To them (media) it’s blood sport for a Friday afternoon. Carson was a ripe target. Christian beliefs, neophyte in dealing with hostile media, goofy statements. For them is was a “fun” exercise and helped in defending the less-than-a-goddess Hitlery that they’re not totally thrilled with - but she’s theirs.
“So NOW we know why there has been such desperation by certain “Freepers” to smear Carson.”
Quite a paranoid response. I like and respect Carson, in fact I’ve sent him a couple of donations. But who can deny he has some serious shortcomings? On stage, he is too reserved, too soft spoken. He is not a polished public fighter. Yes, we are sick and tired of the polished, rehearsed political actors. However, with this country divided down the middle, we also need a powerful public speaker who can undo some of the decades of brainwashing by the left. I do not question his substance, but I do question his stage presence, which, unfortunately, may be critically important.
Let me give you all a history lesson.
The same “Freepers” you see smearing Carson raced around this website in 2007 smearing anyone who was not Newt. Once all the Non GOPe candidates were destroyed in Nov 20078, Newt quit fighting back against the GOPe machine and let his campaign be destroyed via inaction.
These tactics have worked for the GOPe before.
The only way to stop these smear tactics is to de-legitimze them.
GOPe plan is for Carson’s supporters to jump to Rubio, their 2nd choice now that ¡Yeb! has imploded. They also think they’re the only ones capable of cutting the legs out from the competition.
Note how Rubio has been loudly amd pointedly running away from amnesty lately. That is his most public weakness. Note I said public. He’s got hidden stuff, too.
Their trying to tarnish Carson, and yes, several prominant (sorta) freepers are fanning the flames.
This is like a survivor series. I do hope the GOPe and the donor class friken go down in flames. If it takes brutal tactics I’m up for it. Done with queensbury rules. MMA time.
Because everybody is GOPe? The same media that attempted to destroy Carson attempts to destroy any republican candidate they perceive as having a chance to win. They called Mitt Romney a callous killer and ran with Reid’s claim that he had not paid taxes in 10 years last election cycle. They did not attack Romney as part of a GOPe plan. This cycle the MSM have called Trump a rapist and distorted many of his remarks, beat up Rubio regarding his finances and missing Senate votes and called Jeb stupid for supporting the Iraq war. I don’t think they are any harder on Carson than they are on any other republican. The MSM simply hates all republicans and lies about them all the time. It is what they do.
I suggest you have words with the supporters of Cruz. They have been the biggest offenders on this.
I suggest team Cruz get back to making the case for their candidate instead of racing around here smearing the other candidates.
Gentle Ben deserves far better than he is getting.
By all reckoning, his is an inspirational story, worthy of dissemination and acclamation everywhere. Up from humble beginnings, but by dint of a little well-applied discipline early on, and what appears to be a vast repository of natural talent, he has become not only quite successful in his field, but warmly applauded by others who themselves are highly regarded.
I do not see him washing out just yet. I saw what happened to Herman Cain in the last election cycle, and that was what I viewed as an earnest attempt to provide guidance and assistance to a person a little down on her luck turned and twisted into a filthy innuendo. Nothing was proved or disproved, but the damage was done, and there was no appeal or mercy anywhere.
Do I support Dr. Ben Carson? Not yet, but I still want to see him fairly judged, not on the color of his skin, but on the content of his character. And from what I see, a sterling character that goes way beyond reputation.
There is no need to smear Carson. He is self destructing on his own.
I mean come on Puerto Rico a state? Are you kidding me?
Let all the illegals stay and make them citizens? Is that what you really want?
Do away with Medicare and give each senior $2,000 toward what would be a $10,000 to $20,000 premium. Ask your Mom about how long it would be til she went bankrupt.
The guy is just a poor candidate and he was avoiding scrutiny for a long time. Now he’s not.
I agree...there's no way that Bush's and Carson attract the same voters.
