Today on FNC Special Report George Will said Dr. Carson acted inappropriately to âLectureâ the President about Obamacare. This is typical of an establishment pundit.
Has Will not heard of Constitutional rights of free speech and petition for redress of grievances? Letâs remember some things about Obamacare. It is legislation of the purest partisan sort. There were no Republicans who agreed with it.
The procedure of itsâ passage was tortured. CSPAN and Republicans locked out of the committee room. Deemed by the SCOTUS to be a tax bill, it nevertheless originated in the Senate ignoring the Constitutional requirement that revenue bills originate in the House.
A massive entitlement bill, it was called a budget reconciliation so as to avoid a conference. Various deals were offered to reluctant Dems to purchase votes. Accounting tricks were used to understate the cost. The grossest lies were repeated for months by Dems and Obama, himself to sell the atrocity to the American People.
So with all of this does Obamacare fit reasonably into the petition clause? What about this FReepers? Or maybe Will just doesnât like Ben Carsonâs politics.
It's too bad more people DIDN'T lecture the bamster about bamster care.
If Will is so smart, he might even realize what a disaster that law was and is.
But he's not.......
Seems like Jimmy Carter did the same and more to Bush during the King funeral. Don’t recall George @sshat Will saying anything.
This guy, is a pompous @ss. I’m actually sick of the whole Fox News crowd. I haven’t watched Kelly since the debates...rarely BOR.. and rarely Greta.
Wasn’t Carson lecturing of Obama that got him audited by the IRS. This was part of the reason why he’s running to be president
Read the story of Edward II, deceased king of England, and how his days were ended. That would be perfect for Obola, especially because of Edward’s sexual orientation.
Obama should be lectured daily by prison guards.
George Will has become a senile old shill for the GOP establishment. He’s more interested in exposing his grudges than in rational thought. Ignore him, he’ll soon go away (either to a Alzheimer’s unit, or a dependent care center). He has his glimmers of lucidity, but they are becoming more and more rare.
Will’s a pompous prick with a grossly inflated sense of self importance. He needs somebody to slap him around a little until he pulls his head out of his ass.
How many Faux viewers does Will and his other beltway pundits chase away?
When ever he and the other beltway pundits come on, Faux tv gets turned off.
:)
Will is one of the most self-important Aholes in print!
“Today on FNC Special Report George Will said Dr. Carson acted inappropriately to ââ¬ÅLectureââ¬Â the President about Obamacare. This is typical of an establishment pundit.”
Well, if you watched O’Gasbag tonight, he roasted Will mercilessly over his negative comments about O’Gasbag’s book “Killing Reagan,” so badly, I just imagine Will is on his way to Canada to find a snowbank into which to thrust his ass! Will is a worthless turd. O’Gasbag called him repeatedly a hack. It was really fun to watch.
George Will is the total RINO uniparty shill.
Please note that there are more constitutional problems with Obamacare besides the issue that it allegedly originated in the Senate. In fact, lawless Obamas activist justices probably do not want voters to know that previous generations of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified the following. The states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend in the name of INTRAstate healthcare.
Regarding the Obamacare insurance mandate for example, consider the fourth excerpt in the list. That excerpt indicates that the Court had previously clarified that insurance policies are contracts, not commerce, regardless if the parties negotiating the contract are domeciled in different states. Congress therefore has no Commerce Clause power to regulate intrastate insurance of any kind.
State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress. [emphases added] Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Inspection laws, quarantine laws, health laws of every description [emphasis added], as well as laws for regulating the internal commerce of a state and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c., are component parts of this mass. Justice Barbour, New York v. Miln., 1837.
4. The issuing of a policy of insurance is not a transaction of commerce [emphasis added] within the meaning of the latter of the two clauses, even though the parties be domiciled in different States, but is a simple contract of indemnity against loss. Paul v. Virginia, 1869. (The corrupt feds have no Commerce Clause (1.8.3) power to regulate insurance.)
Direct control of medical practice in the states is obviously [emphases added] beyond the power of Congress. Linder v. United States, 1925.
Also consider that we cannot blame unconstitutional Obamacare entirely on Obama and activist justices. More specifically, the Senate did not protect the interests of the states in Congress as the Founding States had estalished the Senate to do. In this case the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate did not kill the Obamacare bill as it should have, that bill stealing not only 10th Amendment-protected state powers to regulate healthcare, but also stealing state revenues uniquely associated with those powers.
The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and corrupt senators who help the likewise corrupt House to pass unconstitutional appropriations bills, such as the one that established Obamacare, along with it.
I think Will lives in Georgetown and need the dinner invites to keep feeling the love from his neighbors.
Thanks. And especially thanks for calling for repeal of the 17th Amendment. This very bad Amendment has caused a lot of trouble.
can anyone provide an exact quote?
It’s quality posts like this that keep me hanging around FR.
Thanks.
Carson was right.
George is a pseudo intellectual and a beltway sell out. He has his own nose up his ass. He is a pretentious wimp and beyond that a pompous jerk. Next time I’ll tell you what I really think.
