From what I’ve read, the data recorder was read and stopped suddenly. The CVR was damaged, but they expect to be able to recover the data.

Last I read the black boxes were so heavily damaged they were useless to get data from.
I had not heard that. I heard reports the recorders were recovered very early. I suppose that does not mean they were not badly damaged.
Do you have a link? Thanks.

Not a bomb - MANPAD SAM that Hillary and Obama were running out of the Benghazi Consulate. ISIS posted a video of their shoot down of the airliner, which has been roundly ignored by just about everyone.
No. MANPADS don't have the reach, especially with the aircraft flying away from them. The video was debunked. This theory has been discussed and disproven here on FR with resident military veterans who know these things.

But according to Obama, it wasnât terrorism.
According to Ali Obama nothing his butt buddies do is terrorism. The only terrorism he can see is the Tea Party or anyone that thinks the Constitution is our rule book.

Of course not, it was "moderate" terrorism - there's a BIG difference, don't you know?!
*****************************************
Except Putin doesn't recognize "moderate" terrorism .... if ISIS expects the type of response from Putin that they've been getting from Omuslim, well .... they're in for a nasty surprise .... probably going to be smoking rubble heaps where a lot of villages now stand. I don't think Putin's ROE are particularly skewed toward avoiding collateral damage, either.

Disney Land has better security. Be ready for some real PIA security blow back at the airport if you are flying in the next few months.

On another site I saw a funny comment in response to someone saying Putin had suspended flights to Egypt; saying yes except for those with megaton cargoes.
There are indeed reports of Russia moving tactical nukes to the M.E.

ISIS posted a video of their shoot down of the airliner, which has been roundly ignored by just about everyone. It's not been ignored, it was an obvious fake. ISIL (or some affiliated group) may have brought this plane down, but that video wasn't evidence of it.
To: Slicksadick
Thanks.
Data from the plane's flight data recorder has been "extracted and validated," Egypt's Civil Aviation Ministry said Wednesday.
But the cockpit voice recorder was damaged, the ministry said.
"There were some damages to the voice recorder inside the cockpit that require a lot of technical procedure and effort to extract its data," Civil Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal said. "Any speculation about the content of the audio recording of the cockpit is completely false."
Russia's interstate aviation commission said there was "serious mechanical damage" to the recorder.
Investigators from Egypt, Russia and France "are carrying out preparation work to copy the data from it, taking all precautionary measures," the commission said.
