But he was NOT offered a scholarship, which is what his book claims. Westmoreland is not in a position to offer that. He was offered a nomination. It takes a lot more than that (first and foremost, an application for admission) yo be offered a scholarship.

Oh wow. Ok thanks.

So in his book, he definitely said he was “offered a scholarship”? (And not just a nomination?)

And it definitely takes starting the admission process to be offered a scholarship?

If the answers to those questions are “yes” then he is toast yes.

The book says he was offered a full scholarship.

It doesn’t say he received one. He never claimed to have tried to get one or applied or began the process.

This is typical distortion that hinges on one word “offered”.

Do you doubt he was told he could get a full scholarship if he wanted and went through the paperwork and process?

Even with affirmative action or a 37 yr old woman getting through ranger school? I wonder if his temper would have been found out? Would he have told them about it and been offered a place at the school?
