I, personally, would much rather have had Carson as my president with all his goofy views, his SDA error of equating Jesus with Michael the archangel and whatever else he may believe, than to have our current resident in the White House.

OK fine. I'd rather have Carson as President too. But this is the primary, and Carson has repeatedly shown himself to be not ready for primetime, and it looks like he has an issue with wacky religious and historical beliefs, and another issue with telling the truth. Both of those things I find indefensible. They don't make him evil, but they make him a poor candidate.

I'd rather this come out now and disqualify him than after the nomination when Republicans would be stuck with him.

Can’t remember now if I responded to you or not. I have no problem with the vetting process - we need it to pick the best candidate for our side. There seems to have been today a concerted effort to take down Ben Carson by the drive-bys today. I guess my concern is that folks on this site seem too eager to believe what the MSM says about the candidates on our side. I’m not a Carson fan. If he lied about something in his past, I want to know about it. That’s important. I want to know about their character, about their policies and, if they have a history, does their past indicate that they do what they say or not. If someone believes something goofy, like about the pyramids, that may not have anything to do with how he would govern or about their policies. The media love to focus on these things (the goofy stuff or one’s religious beliefs) as if that makes the person out to come from Mars or something. The way people here just on this stuff as if it is gospel and a trusted source is a disturbing trend in my opinion.

We should be slow, not quick, to believe the output for the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. We should be more inclined to check the checkers especially when it comes to Republican candidates. Carson will stand or fall based more on what his policies will be if elected, whether he has been untruthful or is soft on illegal immigration or on defense - not on what happened in Egypt 3,000 yrs. ago. He’s not my pick but it concerns me when it seem that folks on this site jump on the claims of the leftwing media against a candidate that isn’t their first choice. That’s my rant and maybe I didn’t express it so well at the beginning.
