Hope everyone forgives me, but being a Seventh-Day Adventists is loopy enough on its own.

I had a pair of those ladies show up at my door a couple of weeks ago and after a long spiel, they told me that God would return us and the Earth to its pre-Original Sin state and humans would live on this wonderful Earth forever.

I told them that that was the most boring version of Heaven I had heard of and that I would much prefer being in the presence of God.

They left in a huff.

That actually sounds like Jehovah’s Witnesses. They definitely believe that.

My husband and I had invited a JW to our place years ago. When we showed her in 2 Peter 3:10 that the earth would be “burned up”, she couldn’t believe it and left rather flustered.

Well, I think it is pretty main-stream Christianity that there will be a new Heaven and a New Earth, and that we will live on the new Earth with God in our midst. (As he was in the Garden).

I don’t care for Carson, but this whole pyramid scheme is getting old. I can see where if someone’s religous beliefs and/or leaders led them to that - that is how they would see things. I imagine that I would be ostracized for believing all of the crazy stories in the Bible.
