There is a fossil on the beaches of Northern Lake Michigan called the Petosky Stone. It shows that once it was a tropical ocean there, as the stone has fossilized coral.

It's also seemingly true that the glaciers that helped carve out Lake Michigan were over a mile thick from the surface water today.

Now THAT'S climate change.......and all without the internal combustion engine.
