You might think this would be great news for all those scientists who have been warning us over the last few years about the impending horrors of âman-made global warmingâ but in fact they are not happy about it, not one bit.
Here for example is Dr Jay Zwally, the lead author of this weekâs surprising Nasa study that confirms that the Antarctic is gaining far more ice than it is losing.
âI know some of the climate deniers will jump on this and say this means we donât have to worry as much as some people have been making out. It should not take away from the concern about climate warming.â
Does that sound to you like a neutral scientific opinion? Do you sense any relief at the good news that the climate apocalypse of melting ice caps and rising sea levels may not be quite so imminent after all? No, me neither.
Rather it reminds me of the disappointment of Harold Camping, the notorious American evangelist who solemnly warned his listeners that the world was going to end on September 6, 1994.
When that didnât happen he decided Judgment Day had been postponed to May 21, 2011, and subsequently to October 21 of the same year. Still the world survived and Camping (and the poor fools who believed him) was left with egg all over his face.
Just like all those climate doomsayers who have been making such a big deal of our supposedly disappearing polar ice caps. If the climate alarmists werenât such a devious bunch I would almost feel sorry for them.

So sad but true. There is no reasoning with these alarmist frauds because they are convinced they’re right and we’re fools for even questioning the “science”. I rarely engage in any discussion about this third-rail topic with the sheep who believe man-caused global warming about the science aspects. No point. Instead, I ask them what they would like to do about it to which I usually get a lot of stammering and a bunch of “invest in more alternative energy” and clap trap like that. It’s maddening but that’s what we’re up against in this age of hashtag activism and low-information belief systems.
Another solution, cap every volcano. ð
It's also seemingly true that the glaciers that helped carve out Lake Michigan were over a mile thick from the surface water today.
Now THAT'S climate change.......and all without the internal combustion engine.

Nice chart. Since none of the “Lysenkos” of climate change “science” can explain these past climatic variations (they would rather “get rid of them”), why should we give any credit to their ability to predict the future?
I shudder when I think that Al Gore came within a few hundred votes of being President of the United States.
"Once people accept an assumption about how reality works, they base their life on it. It is very hard for people who have invested their life on a false assumption to change that assumption. Most would rather face death and destruction instead of admitting that their whole life was based on a lie."
