I love the young lady part!!

I do not do well sitting still. I always see something that needs moving, washing or just plain arranging. Yesterday I got all the Halloween decorations “stowed” away in their zipper bags and hidden in the closet...the house seems bare.

I will have to get the Thanksgiving things out. I am not going to be here and need the big table to start wrapping the Christmas gifts. I need to take two families gifts to VA with me so I can avoid the shipping. I often set the table for a dinner party just to look nice. Sometimes I even have company to use it! All the crystal and silver looks so pretty.

I will be back just before Christmas...I think I will do all the lights outside and set them on the timer so the neighbors can enjoy them.

Maybe just one tree this year?? last year it was 4! Kitchen has a pink one with tea cups and pots. Master bedroom sparkles with Spode blue and white and one guest room is the red, white, and blue tree ( the room is year around patriotic! Some years I have had another tree by the pool. YES FLAMINGOS.

Life is one big holiday party for me!

Thanksgiving in VA with daughter and her family. Visit to Arlington Cemetery to husband’s grave and then finally to a DC Chapter Christmas Party on Dec.6

Yes, I keep busy. Maybe I make too much work for myself???

Grab Louie and drive down for a visit when it is cold there! Nights get cold here too. Especially when the warm sunshine is only in the day’s short daylight hours.

Our crazy County Supervisors are going to vote on a 6 cent per gallon gas tax tomorrow...I will be there to protest...need to plan a great sign!! Some gas here is under $2 and they want to fix roads that they have already spent the planned money on park and other dumb projects.

I have a tendency to wander away from the stove and forget about it.

When my wife and I first got married she decided to steam broccoli one night in one of the steamers that's like a double boiler but with holes in the top pot.

She forgot to put water in the bottom, not only did the broccoli burn, the steamer was destroyed.
