We got our first TV when I was nine years old back in 1956. Within a year, our little 10 year old minds could pick out the emotional manipulation in a TV show and we became hardened to it.

That's because they're clueless about what we're saying about them.
Conservatives read all sides of issues - liberals only read the 'group-think'... How can one of 'em be embarrassed if the person at the next (metaphorical) desk agrees with them on everything?
