I have no sympathy for anyone involved in these stories. The whole idea of a school lunch program is completely incompatible with the basic idea of a free nation.
If you have to beg Caesar for your kids' lunches, you'll eat whatever he gives you ... even if it's a pile of elephant sh!t.

The schools really encourage school lunch program participation if I am not mistaken...they get funding based on participants...like any Fed intervention...the system is a screwy mess

Problem is. When a kid brings a good lunch s/he is chastised and punished. Just training the children to get by on slave rations...
