At the going rate, this should buy us one "moderate Muslim rebel" to kill Christians, Alawite women and Kurds

Sure! We can afford that! And they still hate us!

Uhhhhhh.........If Russia is supporting, propping up, and fighting to keep Assad in position, and we are fighting, spending money, and working to take Assad down -
Doesn’t this mean we are fighting Russia?
What am I missing?

By US law this is illegal. The U.S. has a law stating we have to support a democratically elected President. When there was a coup in Thailand, even though we probably wanted it and preferred the military taking over, we couldn’t show support to the coup government because Thaskin was the democratically elected leader.
America is a rogue country right now.

We’re actually fighting everybody on behalf of radical Islam. I don’t know what’s going through Barry’s tiny mind, but this is not going to turn out well.

Who are the Syrian opposition? ISIS? The Muslim Brotherhood?
Frankly, we have no allies or interests in Syria. There are no white hats in Syria.

“The United States is ramping up its support for Syria’s opposition with a pledge of nearly $100 million in fresh aid.”
We are currently 18 trillion dollars in debt. How does sending 100 million dollars overseas help solve our debt problem?

He may also take the money out of the veterans administration hospitals

The USA is giving them money for cages to put innocents in and to buy FGM surgical instruments.
Kill the terrorists now or kill them after they have done their damage.

I was an early Perot supporter. Didn’t last long, but I had this mental cartoon of the little guy storming around his desk in the Oval Office, squeaking. “Veto! Veto! We can’t afford that! Veto!”

If the “opposition” somehow defeats Assad, ISIS would defeat the “opposition” within a couple of weeks.
There is no such thing as an Islamic democracy. It is either a brutal dictator or even more brutal Jihadists.
