Well nothing new there, every pilot flying that clunky Russian
non military airware feels the same.
Unless aviation rules are different in Russia, the pilot has the say so on scrubbing a flight for mechanical issues. So if there were problems, why wouldn’t he call it them?
It is just as likely this story is fabrication to cover up the downing of the airliner by the Regime’s “good” ISIS terrorists.
If he had doubts and he still flew the plane, then he is at fault.
Should he have beem complaining to someone else ?
ISIS have released a video now which would seem to support the claim that they took it down. Very tragic.
I hate Airbus planes.
I’ve probably flown a million miles and the worst flight I’ve had based on perceived mechanical integrity was an Air Italia AB 319 in 1991.
Horrendous gear grinding sound at take off, which I attributed to an APU.
I was very thankful when we landed in Ljubljana Yugoslavia, to change flights for London.
....until I discovered we’d be flying the same plane with a different flight number....
I asked the flight attendant if they’d fixed that horrible noise.
She smiled and said.....”It’s ok, it goes away after take off.”......
