Boys and girls constrained by toys and costumes
New York Times News Service ^ | Oct. 31, 2015 | Claire Cain Miller

A Web search for Halloween costumes of scientists produces only boys wearing lab coats and goggles. A search for nursing costumes turns up girls in skirts with stethoscopes. Cats and cupcakes are also girls, while sharks and astronauts are boys.

Still, gender-neutral tends to mean that girls can do what boys do. On Halloween, there will probably be more girls as Captain America than boys as Elsa the Disney princess, just as more women become business executives than men become preschool teachers.

Liberal women harbor a desire to feminize and emasculate boys.

My 15 year old went to his party as a red dragon.

My 15 year old went to his party as a red dragon.

Yeah but was he constrained by his costume to be a male dragon, or was it maybe just that his head was correctly wired by nature?

My grandchildren selected their own costumes. Granddaughter, 4, chose a cupcake costume. Grandson, 7, came over for the morning in a lab coat, and was a knight for his Trick or Treating.

< Liberalism is so yesterday.

Isn’t it though. Liberalism is the denial of reality and truth.

Our granddaughter who will be three in Janurary, decided to dress up as Fawn, a fairy that takes care of little animals. It was a choice entirely concistand with her character ( very gentle with her cat and our dog, both of whom are crazy about her). That’s a free and natural choice for her and not do to any indoctrination by parents or grandparents. She is very comfortable with her gender without any force or indoctrination. It’s the way of nature.

One of my two boys (they’re twins, age eight) really loves to pretend to be a cat. (He’s very good at imitating voices and sounds — I think he just likes the sound of it when he mews! LOL!) But he never looked at being a cat for Halloween. (My guys were Doctor Who for Halloween this year — the 11th and 12th doctors.) I’ll have to ask him if he thinks boys can be cats for Halloween. Will be interesting to hear what this homeschooled boy says....

Oh the horrors.. traditional costumes for the kids. How abhorrent.

We handed out candy to more than 40 trick-or-treaters as only one appeared to be dressed as Hillary Clinton, but when she came closer she was simply a fat zombie.

Just the other day I was walking through my local Wal*Mart and noticed a section near the toys that had a big sign labelling that section "Girls".

I wondered to myself how soon that sign will be taken down just for the reasons in this article.

It gets worse before it gets better.

My grandchildren went in the same general direction. We had a Navy Seal and a football player for the boys and The Tooth Fairy for my granddaughter.

My 21-year-old was an escaped mental patient (I think). My daughter and I made him a hospital gown.

My 7 year old grandson chose his own fortune.

He went as George W Bush and yelled “Vote Republican” instead of trick or treat.

Sigh...he’s in the right church but wrong pew.
